CHIRA_JUNIOR reacts to Team Yandex’s win over Team Spirit

Team Yandex celebrates a notable series win

Team Yandex mid laner Ilya "CHIRA_JUNIOR" Chirtsov commented on the team’s victory at BLAST SLAM VIII in a short video posted to his personal Telegram channel. His reaction was simple and emotional: the win over Team Spirit clearly meant a lot to him and to the squad.

The main point of his message was the opponent itself. Chirtsov said it was pleasing to beat Team Spirit, referring to them as a three-time The International winner. That detail explains why the result carried extra weight. For many teams, defeating a roster with that kind of history is already a meaningful achievement, but for the players involved it also becomes a reminder of how much progress they have made.

What Chirtsov highlighted

In the video, CHIRA_JUNIOR kept the message short and focused on the outcome. He thanked the moment itself with the kind of reaction that suggests relief as much as joy. There were no long tactical breakdowns or claims beyond the result, only an emphasis on how satisfying the series was.

That is often the most honest kind of post-match reaction in Dota 2. After an important playoff or final victory, players rarely have the time or desire to explain every detail. Instead, they usually point to the significance of the opponent and the value of the win. In this case, the Team Spirit name made the result stand out even more.

Why this matters for ranked players

While this is a pro match story, it still has a practical angle for regular players. One takeaway is that confidence often comes from beating strong opposition, not from easy games. In ranked Dota, the same idea applies: wins against difficult opponents tend to have a bigger impact on team morale than comfortable stomps.

Another lesson is how professional players frame success. Chirtsov did not overstate the moment or turn it into a bigger statement than it was. He focused on the result and the satisfaction it brought. For players trying to improve in ranked, that mindset can be useful too: value the win, learn from the match, and move on to the next one.

A short but clear reaction

The available comment gives a concise picture of Team Yandex’s mood after the series. The team secured a meaningful result at BLAST SLAM VIII, and its mid laner made sure to acknowledge the scale of the opponent. For fans following the event, it is another sign that this victory was not treated as routine inside the team.

For the Dota 2 scene, these are the kinds of reactions that help put tournament results into context. A single win is one thing, but beating a decorated lineup like Team Spirit gives the result a different level of significance.
