Afoninje and VTB Cyber Card stream tops PARI Universe viewership

A community broadcast led the field

The community cast hosted by streamer Андрей “Afoninje” Афонин, run together with VTB Cyber Card, finished as the most popular stream from PARI Universe. The result was recorded during the playoff stage of the event, where PARI and VTB Cyber Card supported the broadcast project.

This makes the stream stand out among the tournament’s available viewing options and shows that community-driven coverage can attract a large audience when a major Dota 2 event is on.

What the result says about Dota 2 audiences

For Dota 2 viewers, the result is not only a media statistic. It also reflects how fans often choose a familiar personality and a more direct, community-style format over a standard official broadcast.

That pattern matters for ranked players and regular viewers alike. When a tournament enters its playoff phase, interest typically rises, and the way a match is presented can be just as important as the teams playing it. A streamer with an established audience can become a central viewing choice, especially if the broadcast feels more personal and interactive.

Why this matters for the scene

The news also highlights how tournament coverage in Dota 2 continues to expand beyond one official channel. Brand-backed community casts can become a major part of the viewing landscape, especially for events that want to reach broader audiences.

For players following the professional scene, that means there are now more ways to watch important matches and stay engaged with the event. For those focused on improving their own game, high-profile playoff broadcasts can still be useful for observing draft trends, team execution, and how top-level Dota is presented to a wider audience.

In this case, the main takeaway is simple: the Afoninje x VTB Cyber Card stream drew the biggest audience at PARI Universe, underlining the reach of community casting during a notable tournament run.
